We spend so much of our lives with home textiles, yet rarely question what goes into them.
We spend so much of our lives wrapped in, sleeping on, drying with and living alongside our home textiles. Yet, for the longest time, we rarely questioned them.
We grew up choosing cotton textiles for colour, pattern & design. Then we started asking: How do they perform?
- Were they made from the best material?
- Could they feel better?
- Could they perform better?
- And what happens to them when we are done with them?
At Debaans, we believe the things we use every day deserve more thought.
Not more for the sake of more.
Just better.

Where it started
It started with something we had always taken for granted.
Like most people, we had grown up using cotton home textiles. The choices seemed simple: pick a colour, a pattern, a design you liked. The conversation was almost always about how things looked.
But we began wondering about something else:
how they performed.
When we discovered bamboo, something changed.
It was a material we couldn't quite put down. Its softness, performance and natural qualities made us look at everyday essentials differently. And we began to wonder: if there is a better material, why shouldn't more people experience it?
That question became Debaans.
The name came from the material that started it all.

Two people.
One shared obsession.
Debaans was born from two different journeys, united by one belief: home textiles could be better.
Avnika brings her lifelong love for textiles and experience at Bain, while Shrey brings deep roots in manufacturing, apparel and quality. Together, their experience and passion came together to create Debaans.
Less, but better.

For us, sustainability isn't about buying more things simply because they are labelled sustainable.
